Congratulations to Ken Noland, Detachment Marine of the Year.  Ken has been an instrumental member of the Detachment.  His leadership and hard work has made our Toys for Tots effort possible over the last few years.  His counsel and advice on matters involving the Detachment has been invaluable and we know he will be a major factor in the coming years as the Detachment expands it’s numbers and charitable efforts.

PotashCorp supports Home Fund!

PotashCorp has again made a generous donation to the Home Away from Home Program.  The effort IS successful because of support from the local community and businesses such as PotashCorp here in Eastern NC.

We’ve donated more than 300 nights of lodging for families with babies in the neonatal unit and families with service members in the hospital.  This is a 100% local effort, we have no administrative costs.

Thank you to PotashCorp and all of our partners, Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Home-Towne Suites, Candlewood Suites, St. James, Rotary.

The Detachment donated 70 books to the Children’s Hospital today - 34 books will be distributed families with babies in the neo-natal unit, a great opportunity to encourage parents to read to their children.  We also donated books for older children to enjoy. Thanks to Detachment Marine Will Buckman for his hard work.

A great start to an ongoing effort, learn more.
