  • We need children’s books, all ages
  • There are hundreds of children at Pitt County Memorial hospital to include dozens of babies in the neo-natal unit.
  • Our mission is to give each family with a baby in the neo-natal unit a new book when they leave the hospital.  
  • Our mission also includes providing new books for children of all ages,we want to provide these young folks with tools to spark the imagination, allow them an opportunity to escape.

This new program won’t be successful without community involvement, please consider donating a new book or sending a donation, details below.

As Marines, we don’t have any concept of failure, we will succeed with your help, thank you for your generous support

Meeting recap,

  • Toys for Tots - Committee will work with the American Legion to get the ball rolling.
  • March social - not sure about location and date, but will get the word out about a get together in March, family and friends invited.
  • Lowes fundraiser - hoping for the 1st weekend of May, will post details on this website.
  • MCL Spring Conference - 19-20 April, Bryan attending, all welcome.
  • A Few Good Books - The Pitt County Detention Center employees are in the middle of a drive to collect books.

We are pleased to announce a partnership with Barnes and Noble this holiday season to collect books for children in the hospital.  These books will be available for purchase at Barnes & Noble during the Holiday Season!  More details to follow.
